Ayahuasca Dieta is a process by which we change our diet of foods and drinks (among other things) in order to drink Ayahuasca safely, purge less in ceremony and put your body into a PH neutral state – this later aspect helps DMT propagate through out the body.
An ideal Ayahuasca Diet is not acidic and has no or very little animal products but can be restrictive if you aren’t used to plant based diets. Traditional Amazonian Meals:
I have used ‘The Alkaline Diet’ as a base for creating the recipes below as this diet offers the PH Balance that we are after and has some variety so we don’t get so bored with our food while we prepare. If you want something more traditional to the Amazon Jungle, where Ayahuasca is from, then you can avoid the below ‘fancy recipes’ and just drink water, fried plantains (no oils), rice, a white river fish once a week and the odd ‘Mapacho’ wild tobacco cigarette. If you go to Peru this is similar to what they may eat in preparation for drinking Ayahuasca. Welcome to the jungle babay!😜

- Ingredients: Quinoa, cucumber, bell peppers, olive oil, stevia, salt, pepper.
- Method: Cook quinoa, mix with chopped vegetables, dress with olive oil and stevia, season.
2. Amaranth Porridge with Fresh Apple
- Ingredients: Amaranth, fresh apples, coconut milk, stevia.
- Method: Cook amaranth in coconut milk, add diced apples, sweeten with stevia.
3. Coconut Rice with Fresh Pineapple
- Ingredients: Rice, coconut milk, fresh pineapple, coconut oil.
- Method: Cook rice in coconut milk, stir in pineapple chunks.

- Method: Sauté vegetables in olive oil, add broth, blend until smooth, season.

- Method: Cook quinoa, mix with chopped vegetables and egg, dress with olive oil and honey, season.
2. Amaranth Porridge with Fresh Apple and Egg
- Ingredients: Amaranth, fresh apples, coconut milk, one egg (optional for added protein), stevia.
- Method: Cook amaranth in coconut milk, optionally whisk in an egg for creaminess, add diced apples, sweeten with stevia.
3. Coconut Rice with Pineapple and Fish
- Ingredients: Rice, coconut milk, fresh pineapple, small portion of white fish, coconut oil.
